SONshine MOMENT by Pastor Allen

The word "Gospel" means "good news." Our Lord's characteristic greeting was "Be of good cheer." I think He was telling the early followers and us to cheer up!

Jesus gave us three cheers:

1. The cheer of Forgiveness (Matthew 9:2)
"Be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee"

2. The Cheer of Companionship (Mark 6:50)
"Be of good cheer; it is I...be not afraid"

3. The Cheer of Victory (John 16:33)

"Be of good cheer; I have overcome the world"

With these words of encouragement from Jesus, we need to "CHEER UP."

Piney Flats Baptist Church has been ministering in this community for more than 30 years. A lot has changed in that time, but our commitment to the people of Piney Flats and our dedication to Christ to make disciples remains the same.
